A good shaped late 19th century pair of French giltwood armchairs. The top rail with carved centre cartouche above shaped arms, the carved frieze between the shaped cabriole legs. Nice original gilding, they are upholstered in cream damask but there is damage at the front of one chair(see photo) and they would probably benefit by re-covering, an elegant pair of chairs French Circa 1890.
