A French mahogany and bird's eye maple veneered writing table in the Empire style. The moulded top with tooled and gilt leather inset above three frieze drawers, raised on tapering square section supports with brass Egyptian influence mounts, all standing on plinth base concave back and front . The reverse side is also veneered in bird's eye maple making the table free standing . Could be used as a desk or library table. Very decorative and in good condition throughout. French Circa 1920.
