A set of ten 18th century Chippendale mahogany dining chairs comprising nine singles and one armchair. The shaped carved top rails above a pierced centre splat with carved rosettes, above drop in seats , all standing on moulded legs united by plain stretchers . The armchair is larger all round than the singles and has well shaped arms, a great bold chair. The set comprises five single and one armchair with serpentine front rails and four singles with straight front rails , all the chairs are the same age,timber and colour with beautifully carved backs and are made of the best Cuban mahogany. The seat covers could easily be changed if necessary . English Circa 1770.
The armchair is 23ins wide, 22 deep and 39 tall and the singles are 21ins wide, 18.5 deep and 38 tall.
