SOLD

A fine quality 19th century rosewood and parcel gilt music stool or window seat. The upholstered top lifting to reveal a mahogany lined interior, above a frieze with carved swags and paterae front and back. Standing on turned fluted legs united by a wavy flat stretcher with central gilded paterae. The stool bears the the label C Nosotti , 398-399 Oxford St, they were well known furniture makers with a Royal Warrant ( see notes) . In fine condition throughout and would also be good at the foot of a bed, upholstery could probably be improved. English Circa 1850.
