A Charles II oak back stool, the uprights with pointed finials outside a shaped top rail, the sloping back with centre panel carved with a lozenge, original seat above turned legs united by stretchers. Good colour and patina and in original condition throughout with good crisp carving. The seat height is 20 ins so it was designed as a backstool and would also make an excellent writing chair.
