A Hepplewhite carved mahogany elbow chair. The shield shaped back with moulded top rail above a finely carved centre splat, reeded shaped arms above a stuff over seat, all standing on moulded square tapering legs. Fine colour and patina with top class carving.A very similar chair in Hepplewhite's book of designs. English Circa 1790.
