A set of 8 (6 and 2 arm) Georgian mahogany dining chairs ,the backs with two centre rails each with shaped raised panels and turned finials at the top of the uprights,,good long ams supported by turned uprights down to a stuff over seats, turned front legs . The chairs are wonderful timber and ,although not stamped, are attributed to Gillows ( see the photo of the design in the Gillow book). they are very comfortable and in great original condition throughout . The chairs are at present upholstered in calico and the singles are one inch narrower than the arms, the seat height is 18 inches. English Circa 1810.
