An elegant carved mahogany settee in the Hepplewhite style with finely shaped top rail and scroll arms,fluted tapering legs and carved frieze with block toes and standing on brass castors.One of the centre rear back legs has been replaced at some time otherwise in good condition throughout .The settee has fine carving and is English and no later than 1850,the seat rails and frame are very good and some would pass them for 18th century.The seat height is 47cm.
