A pair of early 19th century paintings,oil on panel,of Mount Edgcumbe near Plymouth,Cornwall.The one showing the early church and the other showing the house along with figures waiting for the Cremyll Ferry. Sir Richard Edgcumbe built the house between 1547 and 1553.It was gutted by German bombs in 1941but later restored and sold to Cornwall County Council and Plymouth Council in 1971.It has been open to the public as a stately home since 1988.The Country Park ,on the Rame Peninsula,is the earliest landscaped gardens in Cornwall,very popular with walkers from the Cremyll Ferry,still operating,who can walk through the property to the villages of Kingsand and Cawsand.See Mount Edgcumbe-Wikipedia.

The pictures have been very lightly cleaned,colours are great and they retain their original frames.Circa 1820 but unsigned.
